💧 In-Person Workshop: GIS Mapping & Water Loss Management for Water Utilities (Ballston Lake, NY) – 08/06/2026

REGISTER HERE
This session begins with a brief review of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mapping with an overlap in leveraging GIS for planning and tracking operations related to water loss.
Next, the training will give an in-depth overview of leak detection equipment (correlators, loggers, and acoustics) with case study examples and technical capabilities/limitations.
This training will highlight how GIS mapping data can support leak detection efforts, record non-revenue water (NRW) through real water loss examples (hydrant flushing/leak reporting) and target apparent water loss by tracking service meter replacements.
GIS Mapping and leak detection efforts are gaining momentum in public water utilities, yet it can be challenging to know where to start and focus efforts to achieve actionable results. This training will help build confidence and skills with real examples to start leveraging mapping software and leak detection hardware for water loss. There will be a pre-test, quizzes, and a post-test during this workshop.
