Housing Resources
RCAP Solutions has a robust housing profile throughout Worcester County, extending across the greater Central Massachusetts region. This includes first-time homebuyer certification and counseling; homelessness prevention programs; financial assistance; workforce development programs; management of almost 400 affordable apartments for seniors, mobility impaired and families; home modification loan program; and administration of Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers.
- 47 families received $1,636,790 in home modification loans, which enable individuals to live and remain independently
- 426 households received housing search assistance, assisting housing insecure families to find appropriate living arrangements
- 124 individuals received one-on-one housing counseling, including pre- and post-purchase counseling, foreclosure prevention and financial wellness
- 451 residents resided in our 11 affordable housing complexes, for the elderly, disabled, and families and received services and support necessary to enable them to remain living independently and safely in housing
- 3,064 households received $14,392,184 in emergency financial assistance, helping families and individuals from becoming homeless
- 3,134 households received subsidized vouchers, assisting tenants in paying their rent
Community & Environmental Resources
RCAP Solutions supports communities of all sizes throughout all six New England states, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Our legacy is in supporting underserved and rural communities in providing access to and support of clean, safe drinking water and sanitary wastewater systems. Our services are based on promoting public, environmental, and economic health and include private well assessments; asset management and GIS mapping; community needs assessments and surveys; and other technical assistance and consulting services.
- 256 communities were assisted, providing 370,437 residents with drinking water, wastewater, and other community development support
- 244 private well assessments were conducted to ensure residents with private wells have access to safe drinking water
- $54,138,686 was secured for 44 water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Education & Training
Our education and training curriculum supports diverse community needs through housing workshops, environmental education for small and rural communities, and the training of small business owners. This includes complimentary workshops designed to support and educate tenants, potential homebuyers, homeowners, and landlords; customized trainings created to assist communities to build, manage, operate, or finance drinking water, wastewater and solid waste systems; and self-guided economic development webinars and one-on-one consulting designed to support the entrepreneurial community.
- 101 workshops were provided to a total of 2,470 attendees

All told, our organization assisted over 385,000 individuals during Fiscal Year 2023!

Our organization is funded with the support of key partnerships with local, state, federal agencies. On behalf of our constituents, RCAP Solutions works with numerous partners, government agencies, and legislators to advance causes of concern and engage in public dialog on important public policy issues.
