Synergy Spotlight: Meet Addie Franklin, Quality Control Specialist

Meet Addie Franklin, a dedicated and passionate member of the RCAP Solutions team, currently serving as the Quality Control Specialist for our Residential Assistance for Families in Transition (RAFT) and HomeBASE programs. Her journey has been defined by resilience, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to helping others. Addie’s story is one of personal transformation and professional growth.
Born and raised in New York, Addie began her professional path early, taking summer jobs at age 16. Her life took a pivotal turn in the early 1980s, when she made the courageous decision to overcome personal challenges and redirect her future. Since December 1994, Addie has remained clean and sober – now celebrating over 31 years of recovery. This lived experience sparked her passion for supporting individuals facing mental health and substance use struggles, leading her to work in cross‑addiction services and a women’s sober living house.
After relocating to Massachusetts, Addie joined Community Healthlink (CHL), where her dedication and leadership led to four promotions in ten years. Her career has been built on helping others find stability, hope, and a path forward – values that align naturally with RCAP Solutions’ mission.
Addie joined RCAP Solutions in 2021 as a temporary employee and quickly demonstrated her drive, reliability, and strong work ethic. She was hired full‑time in 2022, and through her exemplary performance, rose through four roles in four years, now serving as the Quality Control Specialist. In this role, she reviews payment reports for the RAFT and HomeBASE programs, completes quarterly reporting, manages billing for the Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) we partner with, and ensures all documentation is accurate and compliant. She describes her position as “busy, like detective work,” and takes pride in ensuring every “i” is dotted and every “t” is crossed.
One of her most meaningful projects to date involved helping homeless clients secure apartments and shelters through our Housing Consumer Education Center (HCEC). “Just hearing the words ‘Thank you so much’ over the phone was heartfelt,” she recalls.
When asked what she would say to someone considering a career at RCAP Solutions, Addie’s answer is simple: “You came to the right place! And you made a great decision.”
Addie enjoys crocheting, diamond painting, rooting for all New York teams (particularly the Knicks), and has a natural talent for singing. She leads the choir at her church and has lent her voice to several RCAP Solutions holiday videos, generously taking part in marketing projects and adding her pitch‑perfect vocals to our seasonal greetings.
Addie’s contributions were noted by Lovette Chislom, Director of Housing Counseling & Financial Services, who said, “Addie exemplifies resilience and elevates those around her. She has navigated significant challenges and continues to move forward with unwavering determination and integrity. Caring, empathetic, and diligent, she consistently puts the team’s needs first and leads with a steady, encouraging presence. Whether preparing reports, volunteering to support events, or contributing through music, she brings energy, professionalism, and pride to every effort. Her positive, dependable approach strengthens the team and helps others feel recognized, valued, and supported.”
Addie’s journey and her commitment to growth, compassion, and excellence make her an invaluable part of RCAP Solutions. Her dedication and the impact she makes every day continue to strengthen our organization and the families we serve.
