Position Summary: The HomeBASE Specialist plays a vital role in being responsible for reviewing and processing HomeBASE applications in a timely manner, as determined by RCAP Solutions and EOHLC (Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities). They will be responsible for being in direct contact with the required agencies and representatives in order to provide guidance and status updates during the application process, as well as meeting closure deadlines implemented by the funders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process HomeBASE applications while collaborating with the EA (Emergency Assistance) Shelter Case Managers to ensure required documentation is provided for payment processing, stipend entries, and manage benefits for future reallocation of funds.
  • Provide direct case management (in terms of application processing) of the assigned applications that will be processed.
  • Responsible for data management of the program and complete reporting as required by RCAP Solutions and EOHLC.
  • Complete and adhere to processes and deadlines in accordance with RCAP Solutions and funders’ timeline. • Develop partnerships with internal and external providers to ensure comprehensive and seamless delivery of services.
  • Maintain EOHLC goals and expectations surrounding payment processing accuracy and timelines.
  • Refer clients to the HomeBASE Case Manager as needed (i.e, clients that request information on housing programs, services information, referrals, etc.)

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in social services case management and/or direct knowledge of housing stabilization programs.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
    Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal staff, communities, leadership and stakeholders.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy while meeting all deadlines; must be detail-oriented and organized with the ability to prioritize; and attend/participate in meetings presenting a team player approach.
  • Create a safe, supportive environment for all clients and visitors, along with maintaining excellent customer service skills.
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience handling confidential documents, communications, and information with integrity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, along with software systems.
  • Encourage a positive work environment that is inclusive and supportive of change.
  • Bilingual skills: English and Spanish or Haitian Creole preferred.

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED equivalent required; some college beneficial but not required.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Typical office settings include the ability to spend extended hours sitting and using office equipment and computers.
  • Move regularly from sitting to standing position as well as frequently bending to file and print documents.
  • Ability to work on repetitive tasks and use fine motor skills to handle and control objects.
  • Ability to use earpieces or headphones. Speak, listen, and understand others.
  • Occasionally lift 15 to 30 lbs.

Pay:

  • $21.00–$25.00 per hour
