Job Summary: The AP/AR (Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable) Specialist is responsible for the processing of Payables and Receivables for RCAP Solutions, its subsidiaries, and properties throughout the agency. They will be responsible for the maintenance of vendor accounts and source documents, along with being responsible for accounting support and monthly federal/state check processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete data entry for accounts payable for RCAP Solutions, its properties, and additional divisions.
- Enter monthly property rent rolls for accounts receivables.
- Maintain files and source documents for payables and receivables.
- Complete daily online check depositing.
- Act as backup in order to process bi-weekly and monthly Federal and State check runs and as needed.
- Maintain documentation for purchase orders for status and tracking.
- Review purchase orders at the month-end for accruals.
- Complete monthly vendor checklist.
- Provide clerical support to accountants to include entry into MIP (name of software) of journal entries, etc.
- Facilitate and follow up on vendor setup. Maintain documentation for all vendors.
- Mail all vendor checks and ACH statements.
- Open, sort, and distribute mail to the finance department.
- Monitor the Accounts Payable email mailbox.
- Communicate and follow up with vendors as necessary.
- Maintain files and file system for the finance department.

Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of AP/AR experience or related field required.
- Highly motivated self-starter.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Able to maintain confidentiality as needed.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with leadership, staff, and both internal and external clients and vendors.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software and the ability to learn new software systems.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Degree in Accounting preferred.
Certifications or Licensures:
- Must possess a valid Driver’s license and have reliable transportation.

- Typical office settings include the ability to spend extended hours sitting and using office equipment and computers.
- Move regularly from sitting to standing position as well as frequently bending to file and maintain files.
- Ability to work on repetitive tasks and use fine motor skills to handle and control objects.
- Ability to use earpieces or headphones. Speak, listen, and understand others.
- Occasionally lift 15 to 30 lbs.

Pay:
- $27.00–$30.00 per hour
