🚨 Important Notice Regarding Section 8/Voucher Programs 🚨
The Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (EOHLC) will soon be upgrading to a new voucher management system. This system will serve as the platform for case management and voucher administration. As part of this new voucher management system, landlords, tenants, and applicants will eventually gain access to an online portal called RentCafé.
- Payments to housing providers will continue as normal.
- From September 8 to October 10, 2025, we will have limited functionality to finalize requests such as; new rent increases, changes in participant’s rent share, and new leases/change of unit.
- Units scheduled for inspection in September and October will still be inspected as scheduled.
- This system transition will not affect our RAFT, HomeBASE, HMLP, and HCEC programs.
Any requests made during this period will be finalized once the new system goes live in mid-October. Housing providers and program participants will be able to access an online portal – invitations to register will begin to go out in the new year. We appreciate your patience as we complete this important system transition.
