DESCRIPTION:ENLACE DE REGISTRO\n\nEn Puerto Rico existen alrededor de 242 sistemas de agua rurales operados por miembros de la comunidad. Con la creciente preocupación creada por la frecuencia e intensidad del nivel de sequía en la isla\, nos preguntamos ¿están los acueductos comunitarios preparados para prevenirla\, enfrentarla y poder seguir llevando un servicio confiable y seguro hacia sus consumidores? La realidad puede impactarle. Por lo tanto\, hemos creado un taller con ese enfoque en el cual discutiremos estrategias para atender el tema de una sequía\, antes y durante un evento. Cubriremos tópicos tales como: control de perdida de agua\, susceptibilidad de una cuenca hidrográfica\, estrategias de protección y redundancia de fuentes de agua. Este taller tiene como propósito capacitar a los administradores de los sistemas comunitarios para que podamos mejorar la calidad de agua y prevenir enfermedades dentro de sus comunidades.
