Manufactured Home Communities, many of which are organized as Resident Owned Cooperatives, face unique challenges providing reliable service to drinking water customers and protection of the environment and human health through the management of wastewater. Very often they have significant accumulated debt, poor economy of scale and a low-income customer base.
RCAP Solutions in collaboration with the NHDES is offering a FREE 6 HOUR TRAINING to help these systems and participants from other small communities complete and manage their water system Asset Management Business Plan and waste system Fiscal Sustainability Plan. This workshop is made possible by funding through the USDA Rural Development and is mandatory for Disadvantaged Communities receiving ARPA Funding from NHDES through the Disadvantaged Communities grant program.

The economic strength and public health of communities across the United States depends on water systems that reliably deliver clean and safe water. Aging infrastructure, such as pipes and pumps, can fail, leading to water outages for homes and businesses, or the release of untreated sewage into homes, roads, and surface waters. Water and wastewater utilities often lack the resources needed to perform the ongoing equipment maintenance and infrastructure replacement required to ensure reliable, safe service now and into the future.
This training for managers, clerks, elected officials, engineers, and operators aims to cultivate an understanding in utility management, operation, regulatory requirements, and sustainable practices to make a successful utility. Learn from workshop leaders about how to address the challenges of today while planning for the future to improve utility success over time and bring real benefits to your community.
