Dear PA Regional Collaboration Summit Attendee,
As you are aware the Center for Disease Control and PA Department of Health have offered precautionary measures to mitigate the spread of the Coronavirus. In the last few days, RCAP has received several inquiries about the impact the Coronavirus could have on the PA Regional Collaboration Summit. As of now, we are planning to move forward with the event on March 10-11 in State College, PA.
We have been in contact with the conference site about proactive measures being taken to protect participants. We have also implemented several policies reflecting the guidance public health officials have recommended, as the safety of conference attendees is a top priority.
Several precautionary measures include:
• Implementing “no-contact” policies;
• No participation by anyone who has visited impacted countries 14 days prior to our conference (China, South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Italy and Iran);
• Ordering hand sanitizer to be distributed at check-in and throughout the conference;
• Avoiding close contact with anyone coughing or sneezing;
• Reminding attendees to wash their hands frequently; and
• Encouraging attendees with “high-risk” medical conditions to take special precautions.
Toftrees Resort is following guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization.
The resort also placed sanitation areas around the hotel for guests to use. There is a sanitation station located in the restaurant, one at the front desk, and one in the meeting space. Toftree’s employees have all received fact sheets from the CDC. The resort has this as a top priority and is talking about this every day and following recommended precautions.
Thank you for your understanding and we will keep you posted of any breaking developments related to the PA Regional Collaboration Summit.
If you decide to cancel your registration to the Summit or associated activities, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org and Diana Carmenates at email@example.com ASAP so we can plan accordingly. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
